1. The Goal
To raise enough money to outfit all
our bikes with lights and locks to increase the safety for all our participants
and to maintain the security of the bikes.
2. The Mission / Our Message
We would like to ensure that all
Berlin laws are being followed by providing our participants with functional
lights for each one of our bikes. We
feel that safety comes first and want to encourage our riders to be the safest
in the city. We have also have a problem
with cheap locks being broken off our bike so our goal is to replace our
current locks with higher quality ones.
Our donated bikes are special to us and we want to do what we can to
protect them from theft, and so no rider is left stranded.
3. The Timeline
We would
love to reach our goal by April 15, 2013 in order to ensure we have enough time
to install all of the lights before the spring season begins. We expect our participants in the spring will
be at least double last years numbers, and we want to be well prepared for our
parking lots to be empty, and our bikes to be circling the streets of Berlin.
